The brief
ChangeOrdersPro is a free tool that helps contractors send change orders their clients can sign from a phone. The team wanted to reach builders at the exact moment they go looking for help — typically by searching for a free change order template in Excel.
The goal was simple to state and hard to do well: build a page that ranks for that search, gives people something genuinely valuable for free, and turns visitors into leads — without feeling like a bait-and-switch.
The approach
1. Start with the search, not the design
The page targets a clear, high-intent keyword: free excel change order template.
