Most "free" SaaS products are designed to push you toward paid as fast as possible. Ours isn't.

Here's the honest math.

If you do fewer than 3 change orders a month, you genuinely don't need to pay us. The free tier is the digital version of the template — exactly what you'd get from downloading a Word doc, but in 30 seconds instead of 15 minutes. That's the value, even if you never upgrade.

The contractors who upgrade to Pro do so because they're sending 5, 10, 20+ change orders a month. They want unlimited, integrations with QuickBooks, custom branding. The free tier becomes a gift; Pro becomes an obvious upgrade. We make our money from active builders. Casual users help us by spreading the word.

Common questions about billing.

Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Free is genuinely free — no card, no trial countdown, no auto-charge. You enter a card only when you upgrade to Pro. If you start with Pro, you get 14 days free, and we charge after that — you can cancel any time during the trial without being charged.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings — your Pro plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then drops to Free. Your data is yours forever; we don't delete change orders just because you downgraded. You keep access to everything you've created, you just can't create new change orders beyond the Free tier limits.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. We don't accept PayPal, ACH, or bank transfers at this time. Annual billing with a discount is on the roadmap — let us know if that matters to you.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Not yet — we're a new product and want to keep month-to-month so you can leave any time. Annual billing with ~15-20% discount is on the roadmap for late 2026.
What happens if I exceed the 3 change orders on Free?
You get a friendly notice when you hit 3 in a calendar month. The 4th change order requires upgrading to Pro to send. Existing change orders remain accessible. The counter resets on the 1st of each month.
Can my team share the Free tier?
Free includes 1 user account. If you need more team members, you'll want Pro (up to 5 users). Adding a second user account in Free isn't supported — that's intentional. The Free tier is for solo operators or single-user shops.
Are there any per-change-order fees on Pro?
No. Pro is flat $45/month for unlimited change orders. No per-document fees, no signature charges, no markup on the e-signature. Send 100 change orders, send 1,000 — same price.
Do you offer team or enterprise pricing?
Pro covers teams up to 5 users. Beyond that, contact us — we'll work out a custom plan based on your team size and volume. Most builders running multi-crew operations are well-served by Pro at $45/month.
Will my price ever change?
If we raise the price of Pro in the future, we'll grandfather existing Pro subscribers at their original rate for at least 12 months from the change. We'll never raise prices on Free — it's free forever, that's the deal.
What if I want a refund?
Contact us within 30 days of a Pro charge and we'll refund it, no questions asked. We'd rather you didn't pay for something you didn't use. After 30 days, we don't offer refunds — but you can cancel any time and you won't be charged again.
